Nestled on a country road in Boxford, our homeowners built their dream retirement home with an open floor plan. Our designer, Kathleen Anthony’s task was to design a functional kitchen that has efficient workflow while at the same time creating a warm and inviting space.
Both husband and wife love to cook and wanted two cooking stations incorporated into their island. One station designed for baking with mixer, baking sheets and spices in her area to bake with the grandchildren. Another station designed for cooking with storage space for cooking utensils, pots, pans across from the range for his area. Every chef loves to use the right tools and so our client’s choice of appliances included the Wolf Range, Warming Drawer, Steam Oven, Microwave and Pro Refrigerator. The pantry situated right off the kitchen was added for prep work and included counter space for ready-to-use small appliances.
The Sapele Island is a nice design element as it not only matches their dining room butler’s pantry doors, but also their front door and garage bay doors. The 12′ ceiling with double-stacked cabinets add a sense of drama to the open space. It was our pleasure working with the homeowners to create this beautiful, functional kitchen! Let the memories begin!
